Nosferatu: Phantom der Nacht (1979)
Directed by Werner Herzog
Before visiting Dracula’s castle, Jonathan Harker, played by Bruno Ganz, stays the night at an inn, where the innkeeper’s wife gives him a book on vampires. Filmed simultaneously in German and English, in the English version his hand covers the pentagram and he holds the book at a slightly different angle so the pentagram is not visible.
There are no pentagrams in F. W. Murnau’s 1922 version of Nosferatu, although an all-seeing eye appears twice.
