Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man (1943)
Directed by Roy William Neill
Lon Chaney Jr. , as Lawrence Talbot, points to his chest, saying: "Here I still carry the sign of the pentagram. The mark of the werewolf. I kill people." [00:23:01] This echoes the pentagram’s usage in the first Wolf Man movie.
The identification of the pentagram with werewolves is an early Hollywood innovation which subsequently became incorporated into later "folklore".

Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man. Lon Chaney Jr., Bela Lugosi, Maria Ouspenskaya. Directed by Roy William Neill. 1943. 73min. b&w.
