November 10, 1870 - March 1, 1918
Born in Harvey, New Brunswick, Harlan Brewster became a sailer and later a printer before moving to British Columbia. First elected to the Legislature in February 1907, he served as leader of the opposition from March 1916 until he became Premier in the November 23, 1916 election.
