[James Ford Garden]
February 19, 1847 - December 8, 1914
Originally from Upper Woodstock, NB, James Ford Garden served as Vancouver mayor for 1898-1900.
As an engineer, Garden influenced the development of the city’s infrastructure: an early street car system, sidewalks, road grades and water connections. He also donated the land known today as Garden Park.
