October 3, 1884 - March 2, 1954
Founder of the Los Angeles occult school, the Builders of the Adytum (B.O.T.A.), Paul Foster Case also wrote such books as The Book of Tokens, a collection of meditations on the 22 Tarot Keys of the Major Arcana.
He was initiated into the Second Order of the Thoth-Hermes Temple of the Golden Dawn (Alpha et Omega) on May 16, 1920, while in New York.
