Dr. William Robert Woodman

1828- December 20, 1891
A General practitioner and police surgeon, Dr. Woodman’s greatest interests were gardening and Freemasonry.
Initiated into the The Societas Rosicruciana in Anglia (SRIA) in October 1867, he succeeded R.W. Little as its Supreme Magus in 1878. Woodman was a founder of the Hermetic order of the Golden Dawn, with Samuel Liddel Mathers and Dr. Westcott, sometime before February 12, 1888.
