Rupert Newsome, self-proclaimed King Rupert I of the fictional "Dominion of New South Mimico", wears a masonic Royal Arch sash and several unidentified jewels. The sash plays no role in the narrative and may have been chosen by the costume designer, Joanna Syrokomla, the assistant designer, Charlene Seniuk, the costume assistant, Julia Hodgson-Surich, the costumer, Mary Furlong, or the costume trainee, Christina Graham-Dwywer, without knowing what it was, or caring.[00:33:40] A similer sash appears in Season 3, Episode 3.
