Riget (The Kingdom) (1994, 1997)
A darkly funny miniseries of four one-hour episodes, set in the national hospital in Copenhagen, the first episode depicts the initiation of Swedish neurosurgeon, Stig Helmer (Ernst Hugo Jaeregard), into The Sons of the Kingdom, a lodge made up of the hospital’s doctors. There is nothing specifically masonic in the scene.
In the second series, patient and spiritualist, Mrs. Drusse (Kirsten Rolffes), senses an evil occult presence and suspects the adjoining masonic lodge hall. She later discovers that what she has sensed is unrelated to the lodge but is emanating from a satanic mass held under the hospital.

Riget I and II (The Kingdom) Television series, Produced by DR & Zentropa. Directed by Lars von Trier & Morten Arnfred. 1994, 1997, Denmark.
